Philly ⇄ Stone Harbor: free carpool & ride share board
Half of Philadelphia drives down the shore every summer weekend — most with empty seats. Down the Shore Rides is a free community board where drivers post those seats and riders grab one, splitting gas and tolls directly. No fees, no apps in the middle, no fares.

It's about 90 minutes: Walt Whitman Bridge → Atlantic City Expressway → Garden State Parkway south → Exit 10, the exit for Stone Harbor and Avalon (Seven Mile Island). Drivers and riders text to agree on a pickup spot — a Wawa works great — and a fair gas/toll split.
Why not a bus or rideshare?
Seasonal buses run on limited schedules, and Uber or Lyft one-way from Philly costs a small fortune. A shared ride with a neighbor already making the trip is door-to-door and cheap for everyone.
